why do schools let children bring toys to school!!

hello this makes me so mad when schools let children take toys to school!!!then my son wants to bring his toys then the kids take it and i have to call there house and get my sons toys back!!so then i make my son keep his toys at home and then nobody will play with him!!!i think i am going to bring this up with the principal . my son will see different toys and come home and say so and so has this i want it .of coarse he doesn't get it this drives me crazy!!

At the school my sons attend they are only allowed to bring toys on there " Special Me" days. It is shown to the class and how it works and what not, but then it gets put away for safe keeping. For that son he is in JK. Now my older son who is 10 is allowed to bring a soccer ball, basketball, baseball and glove for out doors only. Girls are allowed to bring skipping ropes, but everything has to have there names on it. So in general for the most part "toys" presay are not allowed at school. Just like no video games, cell phones, ipods and mp3 players. I assume the school don't want to be responsible for anything lost or stolen. My 4 year old has really no interest in bringing something to school as there is lots for him to do as it is, but I have seen parents let there 4 and 5 year olds bring things because they are crying and they don't want to leave there child at school upset.

I honestly think its good practice for a child not to bring there stuff from home, so they don't get upset if its lost stolen or gets broken.

Yes take it up with the teacher, there own toys should be given back to the child at the end of school day. they just want to be like the other kids.If there is a way of putting there name on the toy do it.
