Hi All,

I am 33 years of age and have been married for a couple of years, I always have my periods on time but this month we decided to start the family so by calculating the days we had s*x on the days which are mentioned as IMPORTANT for such planning though only for 3 consecutive days i.e. 13th , 14th and 15th day (as per mensuration cycle) but unfortunately I have started bleeding 1 week early than my expected day of period and it's the 2nd day of the same, the bleeding is not heavy / light accompanied by mild cramps.
Can anybody suggest what exactly is going on :(

Did you stop taking birth control pills or other BC method that would change your hormone balance? Stress, diet, exercise could all cause a change in cycle. It's probably a normal period. How do you know that the 13-15th days are "the most important"? Are you tracking your ovulation? If not, you don't know when ovulation could occur. Typically it would be about 2 weeks before your period starts, but each woman is different, and each month is different. If you're not tracking ovulation, then you should be having sex every 2-3 days. If you have other unusual symptoms or cycle irregularity, you may want to talk to a doctor. It could be related or only coincidence that it happened right when you started TTC.
