When my baby had thrush while I was breastfeeding the doctor told me to wash out baby´s mouth with baking soda and water, and also to clean my nipples with the same. It was lovely and refreshing and i can confirm that it relieved the pain and burning. I was supposed to scrub baby´s mouth with a gauze soaked in this, but satisfied myself with wiping out her mouth. She also calmed down almost immediately. I hope this helps.

Didn't the Dr. give you drops to put on the baby's tongue? My son needed an anti-fungal powder as well, since it is a fungus (yeast infection) when he urinated, it spread to diaper area. Hope baby is feeling better!
