10 weeks pregnant after Tubal Ligation

I am 31 years old. I had my tubes tied 6 years ago after a c-section with my youngest daughter. I found out last month that I was 6 weeks pregnant. I immediately went to the hospital because while it's not unheard of to be pregnant after a tubal it's rare and usually ectopic...it wasn't. This pregnancy is viable. I am now 10 weeks pregnant. Me and my husband are working hard at being happy about this. I still do not really believe this is happening and I feel like it's not real most of the time. I have normal pregnancy symptoms but I feel like this isn't going to happen at the same time I am worried about something going wrong.

My husband thinks that I am overly worried because this wasn't supposed to happen and so it doesn't feel normal to me. He could be right. So frustrated. Has anyone else had a viable pregnancy after a Tubal?

Hi, Nayisha:

My procedure was Cut, burned, tied and clamped. It has a 1% failure rate and then only 1 % of the time when it fails the pregnancy is viable. Usually if you become pregnant after that procedure it is an ectopic pregnancy. I am now 18 weeks pregnant and the baby is healthy so far.
