*My daughter, 12 years old tells me about a girl at school that is being bullied because she's wearing the same clothes
Right here is one reason why I love that our middle school has required school t-shirts to wear. Other than bottoms and shoes... EVERYONE in your grade is wearing the same thing. ;)

I think that you should talk to your daughter about this. I mean, there's nothing wrong with wearing the same clothes if they're clean. My daughter, 12 years old tells me about a girl at school that is being bullied because she's wearing the same clothes. Help your daughter choose some different but stylish outfits together. Hope this helps!

My eldest daughter was the same. I think firstly find out why only these 5 items are favourable. Is it the fabric, style, or are they the most comfortable. Then go from there. Don't keep on buying her cloths though if she isn't going to wear them. Cheers

She doesn't want to get rid of all the other clothes. They cannot fit in her drawers. All that I ask is that she gives them away and stops begging me to buy her more. She loves clothes. Loves fashion. Yet she doesn't want to wear them. This isn't a huge battle. My point is to have her appreciate what she has.

My children are all grown, so I have been through this stage. I think you should let her wear what she wants. You have to learn to pick your battles with your kids, and this is one I wouldn't bother with. She may be trying to exert her independence. It only gets harder when they are 15-17, so try to let this go.

Many children with sensory integration issues choose to wear the same clothing due to comfort. Tags or scratchy material or seams bother them more than the average kiddo. Even if it doesn't fell scratchy to us it does to them. Also can be overwhelming to choose matching outfits. It may be she knows these 5 pieces go together so it's one less thing to worry about at her age. Show love and you can't go wrong!

I did the same thing when I was a teenager. It's not really that big of a deal. Just stop buying her clothes. When those get to be too small, then you can buy her some new ones. Are these clothes that she picked out herself? That might have something to do with it.

My little sister had this issue and like you my mum tried to take them away (my little sisters 12) but my sister complained that she didn't like those ones or they weren't comfortable so much that my mum just gave her the ones she will wear back. When she grows out of those ones go let her pick a certain amount of new outfits that she will wear and make her try them on before you buy them other than a small amount don't buy her any more clothes.Good luck.
