My oldest child is 12. He had an amazing year last year in sixth grade and I understand that it is an adjustment going from 6th to 7th grade. He has been suspended 4 times this year and I am being told that I only have a couple options. The first option is to take my chance that he won't get suspended at this school cause 2 more times and he is expelled and then he would have to go to a school that is 15 minutes away from our house and the complete opposite direction of my 2 younger children's school. My second option is to switch his school and hope for a fresh start. The second one is my obvious choice, but I don't know what else to do with him. He is increasingly disrespectful, stomps off when he is mad, doesn't listen when told no(asks repeatedly or asks another adult to try to get a different answer) pesters pretty much everyone to the point where his grandmother told me that I cannot bring him to her house anymore when they have been the baby sitter since he was a baby. I work full time, go to school full time and my fiance works out of town. He comes home on the weekends or we drive the 3 hours to see him. I don't know what else to do and am grasping at straws here for any help.

He has been suspended for a spit wad contraption (it was a straw), back talking, embarrassing a little girl by repeating what he heard about aunt flow visiting for the first time, and the most recent suspension is for making a joke about a girl, by calling her a boy. He has exhausted all of his detentions it doesn't matter what the offense is now it warrants a suspension.
