Hello all. I am new here and I honestly do not know what to do. My son is 12 years old. Starting last school year he started getting really angry and aggressive. He has been on several different types of medications. He has taken, Abilify, Seroquel, Guanfacine, Zoloft, he was even put on Ativan and I was told only to give it to him when he has a major tantrum. Ativan didn't help him at all. Nothing that he has been put on has helped him. He can be watching tv and then all of a sudden for no reason at all get mad. I just don't understand it at all. I have tried so hard to make him mind me and everytime he get's aggressive. I just don't know what to do. I feel like I have lost complete control of him and I have no where to turn. The school does not help at all. He has a tutor who stays with him while he is at school but they never hire anyone who is qualified. They hire just anyone who comes in and applies for the job. The only services he gets at school is Speech & OT. His Dr. says there is nothing else she can do for him as far as medications. She has ran out of options. I can't take him anywhere because if I do he tries to walk away from me. When I try to make him stop he starts screaming telling me not to tell him that and then the aggression starts. I hate that he has to stay home and only leaves the house to go to school. He gets upset b/c he can't go anywhere and I have tried to explain why and have tried to do a rewards system and explain to him if he is good for so many days he can go to the store with me. By the second day it's all over again. I just dont know what to do. Is there anyone out there that can give me some advice on natural therapies or remedies or something please. His Dr. said I should put him in a hospital and let them tweak his medicine. But I have to expire all my options first. I can't see me putting him in a hospital. Please help. I really need it.
