Hi my 14 month old daughter has recently been diagnosed with benign auto immune neutropenia. Her anc level has been at 0.1 for two months now. Her dr did that blood test antineutrophil antigen and it did come back positive which they said that's what they want but yesterday we were at the hospital and her anc is 0.1 and they said with that blood test being positive she has the antigens to help fight off infection and if she gets cut or hurt her body will heal. They told us she is not immune compromised but I am not convinced with an anc of 0.1. They said there is no precautions as far as being in crowds or going places but I am concerned. They said with this antigen like I said her body will heal
But she has a mouth sore and I asked how long it will take and they said it could be months until her levels come up. It makes no sense because if she can produce to heal then why would the mouth sore linger compared to a cut or infection? Any advice would be appreciated

My daughter was diagnosed with autoimmune neutropenia. Her numbers were below 500 for 6 months. Her antibodies are killing off her neutrophils. Her body heals from things too, but it takes longer because the neutrophils are a very big part of the immune system.
