My 14 year old is very offended my her group of friends swearing. I' ve explained that itit's their individual way of learning to express themselves but they are not recognizing that it truly offends her and that she should be someone that they respect enough to not swear around. What advice can you give?

If she enjoys her friends other than their language, she needs to decide how offended she wants to be. As Michelle says, if she's that offended, she can find a different group of friends. Its time to learn that not everything goes your way.

If she's politely expressed her distaste of their language, and they are continuing, it may be time for her to move on.

If it offends her so much then maybe find another group of friends. She can't expect others to change just because their actions offend her, she has a choice of being around them or not.
