This is one of my main issue with my daughter. Although I experienced the same problems younger, I don't quite know how to make her see things differently..She thinks I am just being a mom..Anybody can relate?

Someone should be talking to her about why she thinks people don't like her, which parties she isn't being invited to, etc. If she wants to become more "popular" then ask her what she feels she would need to do to reach that goal. Ask her if these people don't like her now, why she would want to put that much effort into impressing those people who can't like her for who she already is. Would changing herself to please these people also really please her, or hurt her more because she's not being true to herself. There's a lot to think about when these problems come up. There's nothing wrong with not being popular if you like yourself. If she doesn't like herself, then she should only change to please herself and not try to please her peers.
