I am a complete wreck. I too my DD in for a cold that she's been fightng for about a week. I have always thought her belly button looked a little odd(it's like a half inny and half outty), so I decided to ask the doctor what he thought of it. He said that it looks fine but he DID notice that she has an inward curve to her back, known as lordosis. He asked if there was a family history of spine or muscle problems to which if told him my sister has cerebral palsy and my brother had a tethered spine. To be safe, he said he wants her to see an Ortho. Being the chronic "googler" that I am, I immediately started searching what lordosis can be a symptom of and was crushed to read the results. Cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy were both possibilities. She walks fine and began walking in her 10 the month. She does stumble quite a bit, but I thought all new walkers stumbled? I have noticed that when she waves her left hand it's not a fluid movement, sort of like it sticks a bit but it's not every time she waves. Has anyone ever been through this? I am absolutely a wreck. I've been crying so hard it's caused vomiting some we got home from what was supposed to be a routine checkup for a cold. To make it worse, we can't see the Ortho until the 20th of Jan. I would love to hear anyone else's experiences. Thanks so much.
