my 14 month old son is a little terror (i know its going to get worse as he gets to 2 and 3) he is constantly playing with powerpoints, blinds, tvs and phones, i just turn my back to get a drink or a tissue and he is at it, i pull him away and give him a firm no..... sometimes even time out..... what tricks have you found that has worked on your toddler?

Toddlers are scientists/explorers ... he is doing what his brain is wired to do. Lose the labes, he is not a terror, he is a baby. It is more challening to see the behavior for what it is if you have emotional labes caught up into the equation.
Baby proof your house. What is any of that stuff doing in his reach? Put in his reach only the things you want him to have.
How do you think he feels, doing what nature wired his brain to do, and hearing No all day long?
Check out some books at the library and educate yourself about normal behavior for babies. Learn what to expect and what is developmentally app.
It is not about tricks really, but understanding your baby, setting up the enviornment, and responding in a manner your baby can understand.
Toddler have such high energy ... they can take it out of you, so take care of yourself .... get enough sleep and eat what your body needs.

my house couldnt be anymore baby proofed if i tried, whoever built this house put powerpoints ankle height and there are heaps of them, the blinds are all full length blinds so impossible to keep out of reach..... i do what i can with what i have in front of me....

When my son was starting to get into that sort of thing we tried keeping the main remote out of his reach and gave him an old one from a component we don't use which he played with instead. As for the blinds which can't be put away I think you have to keep on saying no and redirecting him to something else. Good luck!
