My 15 months boy cannot manage to walk by himself without holding on to furniture or my hand. He seems to lack of confidence...any tips to share.

i just suggested a PT person to look at him. cuz for me i was in the same boat and my son was just awkward come to find out he has poor muscle tone and some other developmental delays so by him going to a PT was actually helpful beyond words

I wouldn't push him. He will do it when he is ready. There are some kids who don't start walking until 18 months and don't perfect it until the age of 2. It doesn't necessarily mean he has a problem.

have you talked to your dr's office about it? you may want to investigate getting him evaluated by a physical therapist in your area.. the dr's may be able to help. all children are different and will get it at different times.

it took a while for my first child to learn how to walk. 13 months old when he began taking steps on his own. my daughter began walking at 9 months old by herself. i assume she was trying to keep up with her brother. Hold his hand when he walks and sooner or later he'll gain that confidence to do it on his own. Praises helps a child confidence too.

Just keep doing what you are doing my eldest son did not really walk alone until he was 17 months. As long as he is up on his feet then you have nothing to worry about he is just taking his time thats all.

You should put clothes pins in each hand and you hold on the other end of pins and after a while let go they will think you are still holding on.
