My daughter 2 years ago went to live with her father and his with wife. She hated school here so I agreed to let her try it. She loves her school and is doing very well. In the mean time her father does not really take care of her like I expect him to and he has a drinking problem. It is not all the time but he will binge drink and fight with his wife. He will do it when she is not home (with me) sometimes. It upsets my daughter because it affects her and the house hold. She has called me crying wanting to come home then she will tell me no do not come she is ok. She forgives her dad and thinks he will stop. She will leave and go stay at a friends house. I want her home with me and in a stable atmosphere. I am trying to get my home ready for sale and buy another place in a better school district. She does not want to leave her friends.... What do I do? Mom in tears......

Also they are 3 hours away in a small town where there is no work for me and my fiance. Her father can work from home and he does travel.

This was a verbal agreement between me and her father. He is not suppose to take her out of the county and I let him. I will take him to court if I have to. I can get her back legally. It is her and her school she is happy and doing well in her school. It is the home environment that she is unhappy with. I do not want a fight with a 15 yr old that is a almost 16 telling her she has to come home and go to a bad school. She is in band, softball, track and weight lifting... Everyone tells me put my foot down. I told her she can come after we buy a house in a better area and let her finish this year out. After the drinking episode I just want her now.

It might be that you should take this back to court and get things straightened out. Why could you not find a house near the school she is presently in?
