What can she tell her new friends about her new living arrangements. Mother is MIA father never involved

That her mom and dad are stressed and her Grandparent(s) are awesome and support her in striving to be the best she can be in life. That anything is possible with hard work and the love of her grandparents. That forgiveness and starting over are needed often by all children, and especially abandoned children, and that making the best choice for HER life, and HER future is what is paramount, not making the best choices others think she should make to reflect well upon them; At 15 I would look at Running Start or other college prep programs to get her on the road to determining her own life. And I'd candidly discuss birth control. Had ANYONE done any of these things when I was 15 my life would have been so much better. Start to educate yourselves on the FAFSA now, as it may be her ticket to college if she is abandoned. She could go anywhere, do anything, her life does not have to be defined by the poor choices of her parents.
