My 16 year old son broke up with his girlfriend yesterday, afterwards he said he was fine but I could tell he was sad, he didn't eat much of his dinner and he's a good eater so that was my first hint, then he said he was feeling sick at his stomach so I gave him some rolaids, he said it helped so then he cooked him some eggs and ate then even tho he said he didn't feel like eating, then about 8 this morning he said his belly was hurting really bad so he went to the bathroom and nothing came out but he said when he was coming out of the bathroom that everything went black and he felt like he was gonna pass out, he's sleeping now he told me that it wasn't hurting anymore.. I'm so confused on if I should take him to the doc over this.. Any thoughts, plz

Then I'd not be super worried, if it continues to occur, call his doctor. Otherwise it is not that unusual to have "spells" like this.

Thank you, that does make sense. My mom also said he was probably dehydrated, and he is on the thin side, not skinny but thin, I'm keeping my eye on him, he's just also under alot of stress from this breakup.

Speaking purely from the physiology of what occurred, there is an explanation. If, he did not eat or drink a whole lot in the last day or two he may have been a bit dehydrated. Then after bearing down to try to poop (called a valsalva maneuver) and then standing up soon after, his blood pressure may have dropped suddenly (orthostatic hypotension) and caused him to "gray out" or "black out". If he did not fall and the episode resolved on its own, I would not worry. I would encourage him to drink fluids and change positions slowly. The phenomenon of syncope, or near syncope is very common in young adults with tall, thin builds; even when completely well hydrated.
His heartache probably only played a role in that his appetite was decreased.
