17 year old moved out

My son moved in with his 15 yearold girlfriend. Her mom is okay with it. He dropped out of school. I set a list of rules. Which was get diploma or GED a part time job and a curfew. I let him no his girlfriend can not stay over. I called police said nothing they could do he is 17. Any advice?

Then give it some time and when you do speak to him, try to do it calmly. If he's not talking i'm sure this was all a blow up at the end. The truth is i doubt it's a big enough one to keep your son from talking to you for the rest of his life. Maybe he'll go a few months and then he'll be more reasonable to talking.

Honestly as far as I know, legally there is nothing that can be done. The only thing you can do is try to talk sense into him. If you can't do anything to get him back home then your next step is to repair the relationship. He is going to be an "adult" soon so try to let him know you'll be there for him if he needs you, although there will still be rules if he needs to move back into your house.
