Whatever works best for both of you. My teens are significantly younger (14.5), but they don't have an actual 'curfew' and, so far, never have... when they have to be home depends on what they are doing and who they are with and other potentially contributing factors on a case by case basis... I have made them come home as early as 4pm or let them be out as late at 12:30am (just this past July 3, as an example... Fireworks show and MAJOR traffic getting home).

Where I live it is the law that sets curfews for teens during school nights and weekends. Depends on the city but most around me have 10 pm for teens under 18 at week nights and 11 pm on weekends.

In my house unless the kids are at sports or work, the teens are to be home by 10 on school nights. On weekends it depends on the activity and whom they are with but generally I expect them home by midnight.

That's up to you to set. It depends on what he is doing and what his friends are like. If they are just roaming the streets then I would have it earlier.
What time is he wanting and what time do you want?
Even in school holiday, my husband and I work and are in bed by 9:30pm so we wouldn't allow our children out late at all.
