Me and my fiancé were trying to conceive for two months and I'm now 5 weeks pregnant, he is 17 turning 18 next month but he is totally ready for this baby, I'm 18 turning 19 in two months. Is it wrong if I have my wedding before my 19th birthday?? Our wedding day is October 6th of 2012 and we plan on telling everyone that I'm pregnant at the wedding. We want to keep this a surprise as much as possible. I'm super excited for the baby and to start a family once I'm married. I just hope I'm doing the right thing because I feel like I am. Thank you for your time in reading this!

I am not sure why it would be wrong to have your wedding before your birthday!
Good luck with your wedding, your baby and your new family :)

His parents are well aware that I'm 18 turning 19 , they know we're engaged, and they know we have sex.

Age of consent where I am is also 16 and there is a 2 year 'leniency' clause, so a 17 year 11 month old can have sex with a 15 year old, but after his/her 18th birthday it would be illegal until the 15 year old turns 16.

We are talking about an 18 year old (for two more months) and a 17 year old (for one more month), so unless they live in a state with an extremely strict age of consent law.... Not an issue to even be mentioned.

Um, well... First of all, it is illegal for you being 18 to have sex with him as a minor. I wouldnt necessarily advertise that. But, I would caution against telling people at the wedding. You may not necessarily get the reactions you are hoping for with you both being so young and that could ruin your wedding for you. Good luck with however you decide to tell your family and with your future together. I am sorry if this sounds harsh, it is not intended that way, just offering a different perspective.

There is nothing wrong with getting married before you turn 19 as long as you are both ready and wanting this. I think a bit of premarital counseling is a good idea (for any couple at any age) because it can bring up things that should be discussed that you may never think to discuss until a problem comes up in that area.

Congratulations on the baby and the upcoming wedding!
