James is 18 days old today, he was breast fed for the first week but we switched him to formula because my breasts were bleeding so bad from feeding and the breast pump that I could no longer feed him that way. At first he seemed to adjust to the formula, but now he seem to have a hard time eating. He drinks half an ounce of the 2 ounce bottle I made and falls asleep, it's very hard to wake him up. Other times he's so excited for the bottle that he drinks so fast he is chocking himself. I burp him half way threw feeding and then again at the end but he always seems gassy and even though he's drinking the formula sometimes he seems to not like it. Any one have any advice?

Have you considered switching formulas? Maybe to a gentler one? I wish I had more advice, but my daughter is still fussy at 4 months and we have to keep her on Nutrmigen due to allergies.
