Hi Mom's
I am looking to get advice on anyone who has dealt with severe eczema with their babies and toddlers. I have tried every ointment and cream out there along with remedies, had her tested for allergies and she has none. I have been to countless doctors and they all just give me a temporary fix. We can't keep giving her steroid creams because it's not something you can use for a long period of time. I am at a loss and don't know what else to do!

I have two of my four who suffered with severe eczema. Mostly behind knees and at elbow, but also all over the body. I used tons of Aquaphor (or generic) every day and applied it three times a day. For steroid cream, the prescription Triamcinalone worked the best. Just a light coating under the moisturizer and the skin would clear up in a few days. For us the task was constant lubrication of the skin. Neither of my kids had allergies either but they suffered terribly from the eczema.
When really flared up we used to lay a thick layer of ointment down and then put cotton long johns on over the ointment. It was terrible until around age five and then improved.

i suffer from severe eczema and the only thing that has not only helped but worked as magic is oregano oil. buy it from a natural store and it comes with droplet so put a drop or two on the part of the body that has eczema. mine is so bad that it bleeds and when i put it on i do not itch for 2-3 days and it is getting better now. i only put it on for a couple of hours every day before i shower as the aroma is very strong and my husband hates it but as it is helping me i put it on the morning after everyone leaves.
