I am 18 weeks pregnant and my 2 year old just jumped into my lap and landed right on top of my belly. It hurt really bad and still does....I'm a little nervous it could have done some damage. Has anything like this ever happened to anyone??

You should be ok, but if you're still hurting, or cramping, or don't feel right, by all means, go have a check.

My mom tripped and fell while about at the same stage as you are, and landed right on her belly...and my baby brother. (I believe my dad threatened us with death if anything was wrong after that...she'd tripped over one of our toys...) She went, got checked, and was ok. Now, my brother is a bit strange, but...I contribute that to him being the baby in the family.

I hope all is well, though, and that you don't have any problems. Most definitely start teaching "gentle", "Baby", and "nice touch" to your other little man, though!

You should be alright, things like this happen every day. If you are not experiencing any cramp like pains or any bleeding then things should be fine. If you are worried then ask the midwife to call by with her dopler so you can listen to babies heartbeat. She wont mind a bit if it puts your mind at rest.

my kids do all the time. It happens. Try to teach him 'gentle' and 'be nice to mommy's belly' but don't worry too much about it. Your baby is very tiny and surrounded in a big pouch of water and all of your muscles! It would take a heck of a lot more to do damage. If you're really worried, don't be afraid to call your OB and talk to them over the phone, or even go in. That's what they are there for. Good luck!
