my boy is 2 years 9 months and I am potty training him. he is in his underwear, I take him every 40 min depending on his water intake, sometimes more. when I say " lets go potty" he runs to the bathrooms, he does his business sitting down of course, we wipe and he flushes saying bye bye. he is dry during all trips (not more than 1 h driving) and waking up dry 70% of the mornings (pull ups at night only, never used them before so I call it special night underwear). he fights sitting on the potty in the morning but then does his business and he is back to the underwear. my concern is that he does not say potty to tell me when he needs to go. few times he went to the bathroom by himself and pointed to the potty. I know that he holds his peepee and he knows when he wants to go. he had few accidents when I forgot to take him and he did peepee on his underwear. I always say potty when we r in the bathroom doing his business. he is in speech therapy for 7 months but still very inconsistent in speaking.
is there any advice or response to my wondering why he is not saying potty when he wants to go potty?
