I am planning to have the 1st birthday of my son next year, as i was so excited. i am considering all the options and ideas for birthday of my son. I think having a formal party instead of having a kids party is more appropriate because first of all my son cannot join any games or what, i just want it to celebrate with the fact that we are thankful and share our gratefulness to other family friends remembering the birth of my child. i want my son to be the focus of the party and not the other kids. what do you think?

Yea, i agree with that.. my son was just so young to play with other kids on his birthday. and it is also fun if i invite more kids so they can just play and eat kids snacks. thanks!

I can tell you what we did for our sons first bday. I made invitations with animal cards and we set a time (because some of my dear family and friends without kids seem to never want to leave).I decorated our living room and we made snacks, little pizza slices etc. Cooldrink in printed plastic cups and and kiddy muffins. One big cake with a candle for our son. We didnt plan anything for the other kids because we had alot of toys and they were just playing together. Personaly i dont think you have to plan any games for the other kids because they can just play together. I am only going to start the games when my son is old enough to play with.
