This this is our first year without my grandmother who raised my group of five (myself, two sisters, and two cousins). The whole experience has been traumatizing as we talked on a Wednesday after I returned from a cruise last September. She had a full head of hair, she was rosy in the cheeks, this time I swore she'd beat cancer for the last time. Things took a turn for the worst as the very next day I rushed to the hospital to find someone totally different. My grandmother whose hair was red the day before no longer had any hair. Her mouth was like that of a Zombie, oval, dry, chapped, she couldn't speak only make moaning noises. Her eyes were glazed over and her body a yellowish pale. The nurses overdosed her on morphine.
Within 2 days I lost her and each day is harder than the last.
This first mother's day without her I just don't know how to bear.
If anyone out there has any tips on how to deal in a moment like this your words and advice would be kindly appreciated.
