Ok, don't know really where to begin. I live with my partner, and my partners niece came and live at home for the second time with being pregnant with the third child of hers. The mother who is on social security for god know what. She knows how to play the system. By the next time she is know pregnant with her 4 child. During this time she moves into her aunt's house. Has now 2 children at the ages of 3 and 1. Over the last year, her aunt found out that she had stolen from her (the aunt) money, cig, car, keys, rolled coin, foreign coin, and took out in her aunts name 4 credit cards and racked them up. See her aunt so afraid of lossing those babies, she just made agreements for her to jpay her back of what she did. Well it been getting worse, this time the law was called. She had outstanding warrents from another state. OH ya, larceny, (go figure) they arrested her. She was in Jail for 36 hours, during this time period we had the 3 year (who saw all the fighting going on) and 1 year old ( who thank god was in the crib ) Law came and arrested her, took her away. We filed a court order protection on her. Yet, that did not help with the kids. She came and got them, God knows where we have contacted and contacted child protective service over and over. We need help to get those children here back home where they belong. Between the drugs, drinking she does. We are HIGHLY AFRAID of what will happen. If there is anyone out there that can help PLEASE PLEADING FOR HELP I AM PLEADING FOR HELP TO GET THEM BACK BEFORE HARM IS DONE, THAT IS NOT ALREADY DONE TO THOSE CHILDREN

Hey April,

I am sorry to hear about what you and your family are going through. To make sure I have the story correct before I offer my advice. Are you saying the children were taking away by the mother or by DFACS office? If she came and removed the children at her own will than you will only be able to file a child endangerment case with your local child services office. If a case is filed, than it will be the responsibility of the social worker to track down the children and mother and investigate their current living situation. Is it possible that the mother could have taken the children to someone else house? Maybe someone that she knows. Once the children are back in state system, you and your partner can request to become temporary legal foster parents to the children and if granted the children will be placed back inside your household. If she is incarcerated, than it is a greater chance the children have already been removed and placed in foster care and if that is the case, you will have to contact your local social welfare office to learn what would be required of you to get custody of them. I wish you good luck and the safe return of the children.
