2 year old ONLY wants mommy... (new baby at home)

About 2 months after bringing home a new baby my two year old only wants mom. It has to be mom to put to bed, dress, blow nose, pick up and strap into car etc.... HELP! Dad and mom spends alot of quality time with toddler but this doesn't seem to help much. 2 year old loves new baby and often wants to help... His need for mom has developped into a number of tantrums... This situation is really draining and we don't know what else to do.... (Oh ya, and he used to really enjoy going to grandma's and grandpa's but now the seperation anxiety is overwhelming!) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure what to advise you but I feel you pain.

I have a 2 and 3 yr old and my 2 yr old only wants her dad at the moment. I can't do anything for her and when I do she says I'm not allowed, she doesn't like me and only loves daddy. She has been sobbing her heart out for him from the moment she finishes breakfast to the minute he comes home from work to the point where she has been giving herself nose bleeds because she gets herself that worked up. Then when he's home she won't leave his side.

All I can suggest is to keep dad and the grandparents involved and keep with the routine. Hopefully it's just a quick phase and he will grow out of it as quickly as it has developed
