2 year old peeing in odd places!

My son is going to be 2 this month and we've had him day trained for about 3 months. This past week he's started to go pee in odd places like he pees into his toy bin or after he had a snack he peed in his empty bowl! Also when he gets time out half the time when the 2 minutes is up I go get him and he's peed on his bed or his little sofa acting like it's the funniest thing ever. He knows when he has to go it's not him having accidents it's him doing it on purpose. How do get him to stop?

My son went through a phase of peeing in strange places. His favourite was his toy box or inside his built in wardrobe where it wouldn't be found straight away.

My son is 4 now, but it was only recently that he stopped doing it, I found with him it was a defience or payback thing he used to do because most of the time it was because he was in time out or in trouble.

Most boys have a bad habbit of peeing in not so conventional places. I think it is just something they do. They don't realize it's yucky. My son is now 4, and last summer, I had to constantly remind him not to pee on his big wheel toy. He would just reply with "I was trying to wash it off". My nephew one day even tried to wash his hands as my son was peeing (that one made me gag) I remember my oldest son being in the park one day, and he had to go, so he just whipped it out right in front of everyone and let it fly. Of course I was horrified that day, but now I can laugh at it. They eventually out grow it. Until then, just remind him that pee only goes in the potty.
