My daughter who is 2 years old was an AMAZING sleeper!! She used to tell us that she was tired and would go right to sleep no problem. Recently was the 4th of July fireworks. She was scared of the noise so we stayed in the house so she didn't have to see them. That night we put her to bed and she flipped out!! Saying she was scared. From that point on bedtime is a big issue. We read to her till she is asleep. When she wakes up in the middle of the night we lay on her floor. She has a night light. When we ask her she says she scared of the fireworks. We explained they are over and they won't come back. Need help don't know what else to do to get her to sleep again. She will sleep all night if we are on the floor in her room. I just don't want to make that a habit. Also, she has a big 10 gallon fish tank in her room that also has light.
