My son has been taking his diaper off all over the house. We have tried everything! He hasn't started talking too good yet and we tried letting him be nude but he just pees anywhere! He doesn't say potty or go to potty.

Duct tape. And yes, that is a serious answer. My daughter was quite the Houdini and I had to resort to this while she went through a phase of removing hers and smearing it through her bed.

Make sure there's not a reason they want to take it off... are they uncomfortable, hot, getting a rash, legs being pinched? You could try switching brands to see if there's another one that is more comfortable, or switch to cloth diapers. You could also try putting them on backward, so the tabs are harder to reach. You could try keeping pants or onesies on over the diapers, so they have more to take off, or even putting the clothes on backward also to make it harder to take off.

Most times, your child is just playing and actually learning to use fine motor skills when they're taking off their diaper. But if they see it gets a rise out of you, they may start to do it for attention. Try very hard to stay calm when it happens. Give them the most attention, praise, and maybe even treats if they do what you want (keeping the diaper on and/or letting you know when they need to potty).

Then maybe a onesie style t-shirt would help. If his shirt snapped at the crotch, he could not get his hands inside his pants to his diaper. Raye makes a good point that the more extreme your reaction the more likely he will continue the behavior.

Thanks I have tried putting it on backwards he can't exactly take it off but when he poos it comes out the back don't fit right backwards. Also he takes it off under his pants somehow! He doesn't take his clothes off yet just his diaper. Unless I'm trying to change his diaper then he takes his pants off. He pushes down on the sides of his diaper to make it come undone sometimes too... I'm at a loss thanks ladies

I deleted your other posts so the answers will all be on this thread.
I had one who loved to take her clothing off and at 16 months could undress herself entirely! I'd find her asleep and buck naked in her crib.
You can try putting his diaper on backward, this did not work for me but I have heard it thwarted other potential nudists. Another option is to put him in clothing that he can't get out of, like overalls. Ont other trick (which worked for my sister) was she put her son in tights, yes like girls tights, they were too snug for him to push down and if he pulled at the leg it would just stretch.
When you do find him naked, tell him;"we wear clothing and a diaper until you are ready to potty" and redress him. If he has had an accident tell him "you have gone pee/poop on the floor, you need t wear your diaper" and have him help you clean it up. He is probably taking off his diaper because he can, not so much out of a desire to use the potty. Hopefully he will be onto a new task soon!
