My 20mo old son has always been a very light eater. Hes in the 1st percentile ont he weight charts and his dr. has put him on pediasure. Hes 21 pds 4 oz and 31 1/4 inches. He looks and appears healthy to me and this hasnt really been a concern for me until recently. Its only been about a week and he doesnt want to eat anything. Everything I know he likes he doesnt want. He has literally taken at most 5 bites a day! I just cant seem to get him to have anything. During this he has had 8ounces of pediasure at dinner and 4 ou milk (thats allI can get hi to take) and 4 oz juice throught the day and a couple sips of water. The past couple days have what worried me because he will chew up the food and spit it out, so its like he has had nothing but drinks and not alot at that. I dont want to reduce the liquids because I dont wanthim dehydrated. He has been through periods before when he was teething not wanting food likethis but Im pretty sure thats not the case this time. Otherwise he seems fine, not sick, no fever. Not really sure what to do? I didnt want to take him to the dr unles I really have to

well I had been givinghim pediasure during the day and I quit really fast because it was making him really full (its been a while) so Ive only been giving it tohim at night before bed along wiht food for dinner,a nd normally he would eat along with it, but now he just doesnt want anything. Maybe I can try taking the pediasure away for a few days and see if it improves, I figured though since hewas having only 8 oz before he slept allnight it wouldnt affect him throught he day, lol IDK i might be!

I know you dont want him dehydrated but do you think that maybe the pediasure is leaving him too full? Maybe give him food instead of 8 oz of pediasure, or maybe a smaller portion. Pediasure is a shake so it would be hard to eat food after having a meal in a liquid form.
