Hello Everyone,
I have a 21 month old daughter, and since birth has had a hard time going poop. She was on Soy as an infant at 3 months and on, until age one, we tried regular whole milk, which was horrible, was told to switch to 2 percent, which was still horrible. She has been on almond milk since and eating regularly. But her poops are so hard 90% of the time and at time so bad i could cry for her. Any suggestions would be great, if anyone has been through this and has a good diet that would be great. thanks for all the help, constipated mom in need of help!

My first question is: 'Is she drinking enough water??' My daughter is the same age and I give her a very mixed diet- lots of bite sized cooked meat, carrots, peas...she loves fruit- whole apples are a favorite (lts of fiber here)...and bananas- but I limit bananas as they seem to be the one thing aside from not drinking enough water, that makes her constipated. My son was similar to your daughter and I soaked prunes, pureed and added them to yoghurt and this worked.....the yoghurt would have the live culture (enzymes) to help out his digestive system ...and the prunes have fiber (and I'd make sure that she is never far from a sippy cup of water as she might be a bit dehydrated..) Good luck with It to you both! I FEEL FOR HER!! &I know how usetting it can be to have a little one in such stree.
