You sprayed an electronic item with a disinfectant? It won't be covered by warranty because you just don't do that. Besides the fact you need the original receipt for warranty. But common sense says you shouldn't be spraying an electronic with disinfectant - they have special cleaners for electronics.

But she got it second hand. It would also depend on how she actually cleaned it. Spraying directly onto toys like that can cause the internal workings to not work anymore because the moisture got inside causing damage. If she did spray on it then it is her faullt for it not working. And I have never head of a corporation replacing a second hand item like that. Most don't. Depending how she got it, she will not know tha actual date of purchase therefore not knowing if its in the warrenty stage still.

Yes. If it might be still under the manufacturer's 1 year warranty, contact them. Even if it is not still warranted, contact them anyway. I know you bought it second hand but a toy shouldn't malfunction just because you sanitized it. Manufacturers want you to buy their products again and most will do anything they can to keep consumers happy, even replacing the item with a brand new one. I believe in getting what I paid for and holding corporations accountable after they've taken my money. Nothing beats a failure except a try! Good luck! #INeverFail!
