#3 C-Section 😱
Fatima - posted on 01/02/2015
I recently had my third c-section in September 16, 2014. Thankfully, I have a beautiful healthy baby brother to my two beautiful 7 yr old and 4 yr old daughters. Seemed like every experience is different. My first C-section was emergency on Christmas eve due to non-dilation passed 4cm, she was a week and ½ overdue, did her first mecronium release inside womb ergo making accumulation in the lungs a concern and top it off, she had a decelerated heartbeat. It was further decided to do an emergency C-section with epidural. HEALTHY HAPPY AMAZING 1st BABY minutes later!
I attempted for a VBAC on 2nd baby and well seems like my children want to stay inside because the doctor did not want to go past the due date, therefore I had the C-section on the due date of December 7th with no contraction. I just remember this time I had another medication for the C-section and I had a bad reaction from it and literally felt like my chest was caving in and couldn't breathe at all. But as the medication wore off, the happiness and delight that came once I heard my sweet second daughter cry out!
Now you can imagine my nerves on the C-section number 3, fearing my same bad reaction as in the 2nd c-section. But that day I decided -- MIND OVER MATTER-- I will get nervous and worry when there's a NEED to do it. So I meditated and with the love and support from my family and the excitement of baby number 3 -- not to mention First baby boy, I went in with confidence and relaxed. If you can plan to be the FIRST c-section of the day--- it's probably best as I know I didn't sleep the night before, to just go and DO IT! Less time to dwell.. LOL ... but all in all .. during the surgery - it was HEAPS better experience than any of my prior C-sections ... I was able to rest a little as the wearing off of the medicine was the most uncomfortable for me with nausea and shivers... after a couple of hours i was able to enjoy my baby boy! Seriously it was my best experience on the third--- "THIRD TIMES THE CHARM" and it was. So just relax, breath deeply, keep your loved ones close and your baby closer as I know you will be great, blessed and better yet... QUICK. Good luck -- and wish you and BABY the best with all the love in the world.
