Hi, has anyone tried this? My 21 month old seems ready, we are on day 1. He will sit on the potty and watch tv, but he gets off and squats when I leave the room to change my 1-month old. When I do catch him, I can be RIGHT there but his pee doesn't last long enough for me to get him on the potty, right next to him! I'm afraid this won't work if I can't get him on the potty mid-stream. Any help is appreciated!

Also don't give up. Potty training can become hard if you're not consistent. Just stay strong and remain consistent and in no time he'll be potty trained

Have you worked with him on knowing the difference of poo and pee? Can he tell you when he has to go? My first who is now 4 1/2, he was potty trained before 2 and I went thru the same thing you're going thru. I would let him sit in front of the TV on his potty but that didn't work much. Try to have him practice sitting on the potty and when he does praise him.. give him stickers. Just so he can understand sitting on it. Keep telling him if he needs to go to the potty that it's right there. I'm going thru the same thing with my 14 month old. She tells me when she has to go and she'll go every morning on the potty but sometimes she rather squat on the floor lol.
