Do you think its okay to get lilli's ears pierced at 3 months? She just got her shots, i dont think getting her ears pierced would be any worse.

Absolutely, I got my daughter's pierced at 4 months. I recommend using the safety backs that cover the tip of the post.

I think as long as she got at least some of her shots it shouldn't be a problem. At least at this age it won't faze her and as she gets older it will be second nature to her.

I got my daughter's ears pierced when she was about 2 and half months old. She cried when it was done but after I calmed her down she never seemed to notice the earrings where there. I got mine done by a doctor at a pediatric clinic where my doctor worked and they never needed to be removed...just turned in her ears once a day for a week. My daughter is four and loves having earrings....she is a girlie girl so I am happy I had it done then rather than now because she would always be tugging and picking at them. Good luck.

I'd wait until your LO is old enough to ask for the piercings AND care for them before doing such a thing.

Its safe and doesnt hurt them...Some places use 2 people and its faster..My little girl cried for like 2 second then she forgot. That way nobody will think she is a boy..

I'm not a big fan of it, but lots of parents get it done. Like Andrea said, though, make sure you stay away from piercing guns. Those things are NASTY.

I asked the same question to my daughters peds when she was that age... she gave me the pros and cons about it (my daughter was a preemie so decieded it was safer not to do it because of her abilty to fight off infections) she also told me that she could do it for us instead of a gun and in a more cleaner area. When i was younger I had alot ( I mean alot ) of piercings and had all but my ears done with a neddles, they tend to be safer and have less healing problems! I would talk to your Peds and see if they do offer that and look into the pros and cons of having a gun used.

sometimes the doctors office will do it for you, that way you know it is clean for your baby.

i asked the same question about a month ago, as to when to get my daughters ears pierced. She is almost 6 months and i got them done right after she turned 5 months. she did great. We got them done at piercing Pagota, and the only thing the lady made sure of was if she had her shots, and she had so there was no problem. my daughter didnt cry to much for the piercing it was mostly because i had to hold her head in place so they could mark her ear. but right when they were done she we stood up, she was fine.

I had my daughters ear pierced at 8 weeks. She was fine, she ddnt even cry, she just let out a little and i mean little fuss for each ear. they are so easy to clean and take care of because she is so small plus she dosent play with and i know friends who have gotten them down when theya re older and they had to be taken out or got infected because her daughters played with them

I had my girls' ears pierced as soon as it was recommended because ear lope will be thinner for the piercing and easier to take care of, and the baby will not try to pull it off. hope this helps!

I don't think there is anything wrong with it, some people do it at birth. Just be careful because the backs are sharp and it made my daughter bleed at night because they poked her and scraped her neck as she tossed and turned at night. I had her ears pierced at about a year.
