Ok, so I know some Mommas are gonna hate me for this but I'm really not sure how I should handle it.
My 3 week old daughter sleeps through the night. Before she goes to bed around 11, we spend almost 3 hours cluster feeding (she is breastfed) Some nights shes so hungry I have to top her off with some of my frozen breastmilk in a bottle, as I am empty and she's not being satisfied after breastfeeding for so long. I would estimate she probably drinks almost 8oz before bed.
Once I put her down, she will sleep the entire night - usually 11-6 or 7 am, until our alarm goes off for my SO to head to work.
Now I know most mommas would love this, and trust me I do - but I'm concerned she's not eating every 2-3 hrs as an infant should be.
Should I wake her to eat during the night? Or should I just continue to assume she's happy and full from the cluster feeding? My SO and Mother-in law are concerned that she's not up all night like a 'regular' infant and something is wrong.. but I'm quite convinced shes full and happy from the hours of feeding before bed.
Its been like ths since the night she was born! She slept 10 hrs that night! The nurses were upset and wanted me to wake her as well, I've had a total of 3 nights where she woke to be fed..
