So my ex and I used the pullout method a week after my period, three times. Last menstrual was April 5th. It’s now June 6th and no sign of AF even being on the way besides minor cramps here and there in my lower abdomen, nothing like my usual ones where I’m normally tempted to call off work. I have noticed I sleep a lot more, lazy, but I love sleep anyway.lol. I hadn’t noticed any cravings until my cousin brought it to my attention of how determined I was over nachos the other day. I’ve had about 4 negative urine test (3 dollar store clearblue brands, and one hospital brand). I had a negative blood test at 14 days late. I’ve never missed a period in my life, although my cycles are longer on average about 35-39 days. I’ve never been on birth control either. I just had a pap about 5 months ago, no hpv, cyst or anything like that, perfectly healthy. Looking for insight on my situation? My cousin didn’t test positive until she was 2 months and she had a neg blood test as well. So imagine my curiosity. She swears by an ultrasound, but I don’t want to get that until I miss 2 periods because I don’t want to pay a huge co-pay and then my cycle shows up ya know? Anybody else get a negative blood test, and positive later?

Wait until next week and if your period hasn't come by then, I would go back to the doctor to get tested. I had 2 friends that both tested negative on multiple occasions and later found out they were pregnant so it does happen. 1 of the friends also had some bleeding that she thought was a period, but she was found to be pregnant. In any case, if you don't have your regular cycle next week, you need to get it looked into.
The pullout method is not something I would get in the habit of doing. It takes just one sperm to get pregnant and you cannot guarantee that he "pulled out" in time.
You may want to look into birth control. Not only does it help with pregnancy prevention, but it, for the most part, keeps you regular.
Best wishes to you! Look forward to hearing an update! :)

Doesn't everyone get up at 2 am and make nachos? Hehehe! Well, I'm glad you have a supportive mom and cousin. From the symptoms you describe, one would immediately think you were pregnant, but it really could be anything. Sometimes our hormones get out of whack with stress and other environmental factors. In any case, I hope everything works out for you! It looks like you have a great support system for any scenario! Keep us posted please! :)

Generally there is pain with a miscarriage, so maybe it isn't. If you've been stressed, it may just be a missed period.

Also, my doctor says it's normal for a woman to miss a period every once blue moon especially if she's under any type of stress. I was emotionally stressed out in the beginning of May end of April because of my break-up. So i understood missing it in May, plus i got nothing BFN's and a negative blood test. I got worried because it didn't seem like it was going to come for June either because I wasn't getting my normal PMS symptoms, even now i still get that nauseated feeling. But it came like clockwork in June, it was only a day late in June. So most likely i didn't ovulate in May due to my stress levels according to my doctor.

:( Okay, that makes me a little sad. But thanks for the insight. I was on cycle day 74, and 37 days late for my period. I was supposed to come on May 11th and never did. Prior to this my last period was on April 5th. I dont know if that still means a miscarriage but if it does that's sad as i wouldn've kept my baby and taken better care of myself. Plus i thought miscarriages hurt? I dont have any pain at all. My nipples were sensitive and i had light cramping but they didn't hurt.

Um, if you are at day 74, then it's probably a miscarriage, not a period.

False alarm! And honestly i'm so relieved. After 74 days she finally showed. whoo hoo! lol. It's light but it's still there. Heck I'm just happy to see something other than a bfn.
I'm going to see how things look tomorrow it may get heavier as the day goes on. I hope it doesn't because normally that means cramps (ouch), but nonetheless now we're getting somewhere.lol

Quick update: I’m now on CD74 and 37 days past my period. I’ve missed two cycles as of yesterday. My breast didn’t hurt at all in May and they still don’t hurt too much right now because I can still lay on them but my nipples are sensitive. When my period comes down I sleep on my back with these suckers in the air, lol. They are normally that painful. I’ve had dizzy spells and waves of sickness not exactly nausea though, or maybe I just don’t know what nausea is.lol. I thought nausea means you feel like you have to throw up, I haven’t had to throw up, but the feeling I’ve been getting is just icky. That’s the best way I can describe it. It’s there after I eat or sometimes just out of nowhere. Recently I caught a whiff of someones lunch but I was the only one in my department that could smell it from where I was sitting. Smh. I also have insomnia. My mom and best friend is begging me to ask the doctor for another blood test at this point to see if my HSG levels have risen but I’m scared that it hasn’t which would mean something else is definitely up. They won’t even let me have my wine! Lol. How rude. I was stressed the end of April so I would’ve understood my cycle being late in May, but to not show up at all for almost two months has never happened. EVER.
I’ve have never been on birth control. I go for regular paps and screenings everything is always normal. My cycle always comes. When I was ages 13-19 it used to be 28-30 days, then when I hit college it went to 30-35 days. My last two were 38-40 days but I will admit I was stressed out those last two cycles but they still came. I’ve never been pregnant before, never had a mc or anything so I really don’t know what’s going on. Since I’ve never been pregnant I don’t know the for sure signs to look for, but I do know my body feels off. At first I was in complete denial because of the negative test but now I’m starting to entertain the idea that I just might be one of those girls that don’t show up on the stick until months in.
I think I might just demand an ultrasound at this point, that should clear up everything. There’s no way anything in my uterus or ovaries or tubes can hide from an ultrasound…right?

Thank you! I'm 27 so I'm not exactly scared if I am. I wasn't trying i was just enjoying my relationship, a few weeks ago you couldn't tell us we weren't going to be together. ugh. I already know i would keep it as i wouldn't want to pass up a chance to be a mother and i've told my mom about my late cycle and she was pretty supportive and told me she would welcome a grand child. I told her not to get too excited because i'm still in the dark. I guess i would be fine either way, but knowing there could be a possibility is nerve wrecking and exciting at the same time.
I should also mention i only got sick one time. It hit out of nowhere. He kept asking what was wrong and i couldn't tell him. We were at Chuck-e-cheese with his daughter and i damn near fussed the whole time for our pizza, and when they finally brought it to the table i couldn't eat more than two bites without gagging, thats when he gave me a funny look and said "Are you pregnant?" i frowned and actually got irritated, and snapped "No!" It would be ironic if he was right lol, because at 2am that night i got up and made nachos! lol
