My 3 year old son has been accepted into the 3 year old developmental delay program within in our school district. It is only for 3 hours a day and afterwards he will go back to his regular daycare. Anyone have experience with this? I am a very nervous. He is delayed in social skills and language but is very smart when it comes to learning. I am concerned that he will miss circumlum that is being taught at his daycare (they are very good) and I'm also concerned with how much transition will be taking on daily basis for him at such a young age.

Social skills and language are far more important to learn at 3 than any academics that he 'might' miss.
