My 3 year old has had a low-grade temp for 3 months. She did start pre-school this year. Her doctor thinks it's a virus after virus, but I'm not sure. She had her tonsils out about a month ago, because she kept getting strep. That did take care of any symptoms, but she still has the temp, usually 99-99.6. Has this happened with anyone else?

I have never like the ear temp. I'm sure you know this, but, if you take it under her arm, did you add a point or two? The most accurate way is going to be anally. (that's always fun)

Kids' temperatures are usually higher than an adults. How are you taking her temp? Orally, under her arm?

Her temp pretty much stays at 99 with a degree or two lower or higher. She's seen a few different doctors in the office and they all say the same thing. I'm worried how she'll react if she has to get blood drawn.

Maybe she just runs a bit warm? Some people do. Is it constant at that temp or does it come and go? You could always ask for some random blood work and/or a second opinion.
