My daughter is 3 years and does not talk. Her MRI showed mild white matter loss. I had a rough pregnancy with diabetes, preeclampsia, hypothyroidism and hypertension. She started standing on her own at 24 months and walking at 26 months. Now when she is 38 months, she says a few two letter words. Her vocabulary is hardly 50 words. She is physically cautious when moving on the playground needs support with the stairs. She watches the other children and is always happy but does not play parallel with them. I do not see any issues with her understanding except that she is a slow learner. We have her full team evaluation scheduled. Any insights based on your experience will be helpful. Thanks and best wishes.
