I just got back from my son's WIC appointment and they weighed him at 30 lbs and 10 oz. He'll be 2 in December. Is that too big for his age? I was told by other parents or people that he needs to lose weight or diet. I think he's fine cuz I believe he will eventually grow out of it. He's very active but he likes to eat. Do you guys think he weighs too much?

He is definitely on the big side... but 'too big' or needing to diet? Not at all. Make sure the bulk of his food intake is healthy items... limit the junk food and limit or eliminate juice and/or other sugary drinks... but kids come in all shapes and sizes and health is more important than the weight number.

I once knew a kid that was 40 pounds at a year... only breast milk and healthy foods. He still has a solid build, but a healthy kid.
