3yr old having accidents in the night...

My daughter is potty trained, well all day she pees in the potty and she doesnt have accidents during her nap time. We limit her fluids at dinner and before bed. She will go a week with no night time accidents, but lately she has been wetting the bed every night. Should we wake her up and take her to the potty? Is this normal?

My brother wet his bed until he was 8 and my nearly 7 year old still has accidents. This happens. It's completely normal and nothing to worry about.

I wouldn't recommend waking a child up in the middle of the night either. Just invest in a plastic mattress liner.

Um... read up near the top of the page. ;)

Totally normal and every kid is different. My twin girls weren't out of night time pull ups til 4.5 and still had wet beds (w/ decreasing frequency) for the next four years. My son is 3.5 and has been day and night trained for about 10 months and has only ever had one wet bed so far (w/in the past week).

I, personally, would not wake a child to go pee. It'll happen when it happens and if she can go a week w/out wetting she's doing great already.

Very normal. It can take more time for night training to be accomplished. My youngest is back and forth with daytime training still and just turned 3 not too long ago.

Hi , probably stop giviging her fluids 2/3 yrs before bed and try to put her on the potty or toilet before you go to bed.cheers

I woke all my children up to go to the potty before I went to sleet. Also, I would set my alarm for midnight and get my middle daughter up for potty. After a couple of weeks, it worked!

Very normal .... yah, wake her before you go to bed. Time will usually take care of this
