4 month old with a rash on cheeks?

[deleted account] ( 5 moms have responded )

my 4 month old daughter (almost 5 months) seems to have red cheeks that are spoty. I don't think she is teething, she is her happy normal self. does anyone know what this could be? it doesn't seem to be bothering her. i am going to the doc on Tuesday, i just want to know before then if anyone has experienced this?

My son had this when he was just born, and still does occasionally. I put A&D oitment on his cheeks and the redness goes down along with the bumps.

Hi Sandra.

You know, my daughter had a similar sort of thing and you know what? It turned out to be the cold weather.

Sudocream or vaseline (if it seems dry)

I smeared her face in with either(obviously not both at the same time!!) a couple of times a day and it went away..

Big hug's to you little one..

My baby (9mon) gets red blotchy marks on her cheeks when she gets to warm. Dont know how long your little one has had it. Also do you live where it is cold, they could be chapped from wind or cold. Try putting some vasaline on them.. Hope she gets better.

could be slapped cheek syndrome, could be an intolereance for citrus ie my second daughter developed something similiar when I was pigging out on mandarin oranges one year and the following year she was eating them and was still nursing when I was eating them she had red cheeks all four of them for a week until a friend pointed it out!! :)

It could be just baby acne. Dont know if she is too old for that but its a possibility. It could also be a mild case of eczema. No biggie either.
