So, I was hoping to get some feed back from people who perhaps have been in this situation.

My 4 year old has been pushed ahead into kindergarten. He turns 5 in October.

His teacher is a no bones woman and really makes my son toe the line which I am fine with.

The problem is, since he has started kindergarten his behaviour at home has been deteriorating to a point where I am having to step outside for air before I spank him!

He has become completely defiant, talks back like never before. Demanding and flippant. He told me the other day that he hates his grandmother and then later that day he hit her in the face with a hockey stick. She is an 87 year old woman with dementia and I look after her here as well.

I'm wondering if perhaps this is fallout because he is simply not ready for this step at all. He is simply not emotionally mature enough.

Or should I wait this out and see what happens?

Any help would be appreciated.....

Ok. My daughter also started Kindergarten at 4. The reason they behave this way is because they are EXHAUSTED from school. Give him some down time when he comes home from school. Just let him do whatever. It's his first year so trust me it will get better!
