This morning, we were just chilling in bed after waking up and then suddenly my 4 year old pointed to the window and said "Where's her head?" I then asked her "Where are you pointing?" she cheerfully respond with "Over there!" and still had her finger towards the curtains. I slowly lowered her hand and held it and told her "I don't see anything," and she said "Oh!" We then stayed silent for a good 30 seconds and my eyes wouldn't leave the curtains as I'm trying to figure out what she's seen. After the 30 seconds or so, she happily said "It's like a ghost!" There wasn't any fear in her voice but she had wanted to go upstairs right away.
After she had washed her face and brushed her teeth, I gently held her and asked her very slowly "Earlier when we were downstairs you told me you saw a ghost," She responded with a "Yeah!" as her face lit up. I continued, "You said 'where's her head?' did you see somebody?" and she said "Mhmm" and I asked her, "Who did you see?" At that moment, her face fell as she told me "I don't know.." and I said "You don't know who it was?" and she said "I saw a body at window.."
A few minutes later when I tried to ask her more questions about the "ghost" she said it would hurt us and that she didn't want to go downstairs to my room anymore. I've then researched on children and the supernatural world and nothing is as how she described it. Katelyn doesn't have an imaginary friend and this is her firs encounter with something like that that I know of.
What can I do to? She's usually honest so I don't know wether to believe her and take action or forget it. Any advice on the whole situation? Frankly, I'm really spooked.

This is really freaky to me. My daughter and I were in a Holly lobby with my sons 3 year old daughter one day. She suddenly looked UP, and above a grouping of frames against the back wall, and said; "mammaw, who is that headless man?" I questioned her, I stared at the empty space also. "There mammaw.." And she pointed..after I said I couldn't see what she was talking about. Where she was pointing was an empty blank area of wall. I was creeped out..and began walking away after I told Abby I didn't know. And whispered under my breath to my daughter I didn't come there again. We have seen ghost in our house before. But not for a long time. Suddenly, u are making me wonder if this is why Abby's waking up in the room we have for her, sobbing on the weekends. She doesn't remember her dreams. But 3 nightmares in one night isn't normal to me. I'm worried.

If you can't prove she's wrong, then tell her you believe her and see what else happens, if anything. Most likely it will go away on it's own (whether imaginary or whatever). If anything happens where she does get hurt, and claims it's the ghost, she may need to be looked at by a doctor and/or counselor. Meanwhile, let her know she can tell you anything, and you want to know about ANYBODY that tries to hurt her. Tell her she can make the ghost go away if she tells it to and then ignores it. You can also put vinegar in a spray bottle and spray it around the windows and doors of the house and tell her that will keep the ghost out. It worked with my step-son's closet monster, it could work with ghosts, too.
