My son has been going to a new daycare for 3 months . We live in Quebec and here the official language is French (even tho Canada is a English country) . The daycare where he is going to now is French and I put him there so he learns the language , at home we speak English and Spanish , and that's the way I became trilingual so I thought it was a good idea to do that with him too . It's been a couple weeks that my son comes home sad and he even had some scratches in his face . Saying some boys were being mean , pushing him around and hitting him . I contact the daycare and they said they had a little fight but at this age with boys it's normal . Last night my son told me he really didn't want to go to daycare , I asked why and he told me the boys they pushed him again they kicked him in the ribs and he said his wee-wee hurts got they hit him there , he added that the boys calls him : l'anglais (means the English ) I was so upset at the situation and I feel so bad for my son ... Those kids can be so cruel and kids aren't born racist ! I don't understand how they can be so mean to him . I tried calling the daycare but there isn't any answer , I feel useless right now . I told him to stand up for himself and not let no one take him down , but those tears in his eyes destroy me ... The teachers are all French as well and communicating is hard for him . I don't know what to do now and I feel out of power , if anybody has gone through a similar situation please help and give me some advice . Thanks

I'd confront the supervisor and let her know that your child's safety is not preserved. No matter what language he speaks, he should be safe. If he ever has marks of evidence of assault again, I'd pull him for the program, call the police and the licensing agency.

I'm going to go in the afternoon and speak to the supervisor face to face and I really hope they will be able to do something about it and I'll definitely contact the police station if he comes home again with marks , thank you for your advices .
