My older kids had solids once a day at that age. My youngest didn't have a bite of anything under 6 months, never had baby cereal, and wasn't even eating once a day regularly til close to a year.

Technically a baby should not be eating anything other than breast milk or formula under 6 months as there is a risk for long term health issues from feeding solids too early. But I'd say since he is already doing it... once a day or so is fine, but the baby cereal isn't really good for anything.

Solids under a year are just for fun and taste/eating experiences. All of their calories and nutrients should still come from their milk.

I would stick with just once a day for now, unless he seems super interested. He only needs your breast milk for the first year. So there is no need to rush him.
