My guys all waited until 3 to get out of diapers but they did wear the pullups at night and I just stopped making a big deal out of it. They do cost money though. I don't remember what age they stopped the pullups but I did make sure they went right before bedtime. It just happened one day and their pullup was dry. Boys take a lot longer than girls in that department. The less stressed we are, the less stressed they are. I think we need to instill confidence in our children at any age. That's part of nurturing. Point out the things he DOES do well and before you know it he will believe in himself more and other stuff clears up on its own. I look back and wish I was a lot less anxious about my guys and their developmental milestones. They just want our love and be told they have what it takes to be a big boy. :)

Boy does this throw me back to my childhood. Victoria, I have three son's and my 12 year old is the only one who talks to himself an. Full on conversations in the shower, while he is hanging out in his room or lying in the dark at bedtime. Never out in front of us though. My Mom told me that when I was about 5 I would talk to myself while playing with my dolls. I had a whole pretend family with 6 kids and pretend husband was not around because he travelled a lot. My Dad travelled a lot during this time. Anyways, I think it's perfectly normal. My Mom called the pediatrician to check on this and they also calmed her concern. Hope this was helpful.
