[deleted account] ( 2 moms have responded )

his toes nails grow and cut back into the skin. I've be trimming them every so often, but I cant seem to get some of the toe nails to grow stright instead of curling down around the front of the toe... any suggestions?

My son's toenails grow that way, too (he's nine). I just try to check them and trim them if needed about once a week. Unfortunately, I think that's all you can probably do. If they are growing into the skin and causing him pain or becoming inflamed or red, you might want to consider taking him to a podiatrist.

Both my daughters toenails do this too, grown longer toward the front of the toenail like a triangle and they curl down into the skin, looks so odd.
